Barbaresco DOCG Riserva Basarin

Elegant and pleasant, this wine is characterized by a velvety and harmonious structure, with floral and berry notes that come together with aromas of chocolate and spices. Graceful, delicate and seductive. The color is garnet red with a touch of ruby, which with age acquires slightly orange hues.

This wine is produced according to traditional and natural methods, using only organically grown grapes from the MeGA Basarin area in the municipality of Neive. After careful selection, the grapes are spontaneously fermented by indigenous yeasts. Maceration lasts four weeks or more, after which the wine is aged in traditional Slovenian oak barrels, where it remains for at least twenty-four months. Bottling takes place in the summer, followed by a long maturation in the bottle before the wine is released. Due to the long maturation, it is customary for this Barbaresco to be offered with the Riserva designation.
