About the Winery

Cultivating vineyards and making wine is a profession, but above all a true passion.
The vines of yesteryear, with their shapes, seem to want to describe the past of my family, which they have carefully maintained.

Nowadays, modern vineyards no longer have the same appearance.
Wine growing has changed, businesses have grown, mechanization has increased, and we have probably lost some of our connection with our land.
However, respect and balance with nature and our territory are important, both for us and for future generations.

My family has lived in Calosso since the middle of the 19th century. They have always been dedicated to wine growing and were a farming family. This area, one of the most beautiful in Piedmont, is located on a ridge that rises to 400 meters and separates the Langhe from Monferrato.

My company is small-scale, about 6 hectares of vineyards, where grape varieties show their maximum expression: Barbera, Moscato, Gamba Rossa and Nebbiolo.
The choice not to lose the deep bond between winemakers and the vineyard means following the phases of the moon during the process, respecting and caring for soil fertility and biodiversity, and committing to organic certification.

The harvest is the most beautiful time of the year. The fruits are picked in the hope that the expectations will be rewarded. It is fascinating how the pressing and fermentation of grapes creates a wine that evokes a feeling and tells a story.

The must ferments with the grape skins and slowly absorbs their color and scent. When my grandparents finished the fermentation, they filled the tanks with the young wine, together with the lees, and let it rest for two to three months to obtain balance and identity. I have the pleasure and honor to follow in my grandparents' footsteps.

Wines must be tasted and understood. They themselves indicate when to bottle them and when the moon and the season are more favorable.

What I want to achieve when tasting my wines is to convey a piece of my history and my love for this land.
